Wix Blog: Old Post Disappeared - Solution

In this case, I would advise you to delete your Blog application and re-add it once again to your site. Please also kindly note that you will not lose any posts, however, you might need to change once again your design settings for the app. So I would encourage taking note of your Post and Blog page element settings before deleting and re-adding it.

Deleting your Wix Blog:

  1. Click Menus & Pages on the left side of the Editor.
  2. Hover over the Blog page and click the Show More icon.
  3. Click Delete.
  4. Click Delete to confirm.

After deleting your Blog and saving changes, please exit your Editor, clear your cash and cookies, then log back in and re-add the Blog app to your site.

If you are still experiencing this issue after completing these steps, please respond to this email a screenshot of the Developer Tools view of an effected page (i.e. a post page that says it cannot be found) from Google Chrome (after blog being not posted or broken link page). If you do not have Google Chrome, you can download it here.

To take a screenshot of the Developer Tools view:

  1. Open your site in a Google Chrome incognito window (Ctrl + Shift + N).
  2. Use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl + Shift + J (on PC) or Cmd + Option + J (on Mac).
  3. Click the Console tab at the top of the panel and refresh the page (F5).
  1. Navigate to the page where the issue occurs and take any action necessary to recreate the issue.
  2. Take a screenshot of what you see on this tab.
  3. Click the Network tab at the top of the panel and take the action again (Tip: if the issue is on your live site you may need to refresh the page)
  1. Take a screenshot of what you see on this tab.

I hope this helps. If you have any further questions, you can contact Wix again here, or reply directly to this email.
